ALLEN CROWDER “Pretty Boy” is the first MMA fighter to defeat former NFL standout Greg Hardy – sort of. Crowder had survived a few hard shots from the undeniably dangerous Hardee and gave Hardy some back. By now it was already Hardy’s longest fight.
Crowder managed to muscle around the Football Hero and avoid the heavy hands. Crowder managed to grab a single leg and dump the big guy halfway through the 1st round. He controlled him pretty well for the rest of the round with the exception of jumping a guillotine after Hardy was able to stand up.
Rd 2 saw Hardy moving slow and keeping his distance. He landed a couple shots but Crowder didn’t seem hurt by them. After 2 minutes of this Crowder started talking smack. He then shot a double leg on Greg, who was able to defend it with a nice sprawl. As they were making their way off the canvas Hardy smacked Crowder with a flagrant illegal knee which ended the fight.
Crowder rightly said he could not continue and was given the DQ win.
