Charles ‘Felony” Bennet is one of the most colorful characters in MMA.

Don’t let the losing record fool ya.  This is a guy who has some seriously exciting fights and devastating KOs. Even some of his losses are exciting fights.

Never known for his submissions, Krazy Horse nee Felony is a fighter. He likes to hit people and he doesn’t get picky with fights. Once sked about his grund game he pointed forst to his right bicep thenhis keft and said, “that’s it right there.”
Even outside the cage/ring, Krazy Horse never backed down.

This was highlighted by one of the most mysterious legends of MMA.

in 2005 Charles took on actor Ken Kaneko in Pride.  During prefight instructions Krazy Horse was mean mugging the camera so much that referee Yuji Shimada had to slap himand say,”Look at me!”

The fight was not much to look at as Krazy Horse joked around a bit then got Kaneko on the mat.  In one of his rare submissions he armbarred the new fighter.  After the fight while they were announcing the winner “Charles Bennet-o” he was rasslin’ the ref.

Backstage in the locker room, which he was sharing with Chute Box fighters, Charles got into a dispute with Chute Box coach Cristiano Marcello.  Who knows why.

It could have been about Dan Henderson beating Murilo Bustamante, because that was what was on TV as the camera focuses on a seated Bennett with Marcello standing behind him saying something.

Of course he’s the only American in a room full of Brazil’s meanest mofos so he should have quietly packed his bag and went on his way.

But Krazy Horse is not that kind of guy.

Wanderlei Silva is warming up for his main event fight with Ricardo Arona but takes time out to chime in.

Krazy Horse – a lightweight fighter – points at Wanderlei and the camera pans his way as he starts walking in a different direction.

Suddenly the sound of a fight fills the room and people scramble for a good view (or to get out of the way) as Bennett charges Marcello and punts him on the ground. Punches go down as the two are tangled in the dressing room curtains.

Felony picks up Marcello and dumps him on the floor but is immediately in a triangle.  He scrambles out then hunkers right down into Cristiano’s guard.

So get this -Marcello is the BJJ Coach of  Brazil’s top MMA camp in 2005.  Charles knew this full well. He had also just finished a fight less than an hour before. yet he still went right into that guard slinging fists like a windmill.

You can hear the Brazilians babbling away in Portuguese as Felony goes a little too far in and gets locked into a deep triangle.  As he loses consciousness Chute Box all tell Marcello that he’s out, let go.

As (Rafael Cordeiro ?) Wakes Charles, the camera fades out.

BUT THAT’S NOT THE WHOLE STORY!!!!

What happened to Wanderlei?

As a Charles Bennet was coming around the camera (which was being shot by Chute Box Team) goes to black.

Krazy Horse says that this is where the real story happened. Only those that were in the room will ever know what went on.  What we do know is a decade later, after Rizin 2,  Wanderlei Silva has gone off the rails. He goes after Krazy horse and has to be restrained several times as Charles taunts him mercilessly.  Get this – one of the scariest light heavyweights on the planet is being taunted by a 155er who claims to have KOd the Pride superstar in his prime.  Here’s Krazy horse telling the story:
